Darkening varnish

Does anyone have a formula for darkening varnish without adding a pigmented stain?

I've used transtint (?) dyes with some success. Although don't think its uv stable so might fade if left in sun, then again maybe the uv inhibitor of the varnish may help.

Look at adding or using some RapidCoat (not RapicClear) by Epiphanes. It has a pretty dark amber to it.

I've used TransTint with great success. You can make the varnish any color you want with a few drops of any combination of their colors.

Does not change the clarity of the varnish at all.
