Spring Clamps For Strippers

LOVES Wooden Canoes
After seeing similar clamps on Amazon for $15, I decided to make my own. They work great to hold strip, especially Bead and Coved strips, together, while glue dries.

I bought 2" Spring clamps for $1 a piece at Menard's, and Home Depot. The narrowest Bicycle inner tube from Walmart, $3.88, I get 12 strips from one tube. Some 1/4" OD plastic tubing for $.09 a foot, and Zip ties I already had.
Here's pics of my assembly.

Start by cutting the inner tube into 6 1/2" strips. You will get 12 strips of tube, from one inner tube.

Hold the jaws open with a clamp. Then Bend two 4" 20D nails as shown. These are tools to spread the inner tube strips over the jaws of the Spring clamp.

These work Great, and for less than $1.50 I have a great clamp for building Cedar Strippers.
