Deck/Inwale detail of Chestnut Indian Maiden

I would greatly appreciate a photo taken from above that clearly shows how the inwale is joined to the deck of the Indian Maiden circa 1925. Many thanks for any help.

Your photo solved what I was curious about. Those clever old builders figured out how to avoid steaming two parts to create that beautiful sheer curve.

Wish I could find an Indian Maiden (canoe) on the Pacific Coast.
