Student Progress in Buffalo

Hi Gang-
Here is the update on our progress. We should be ready for the water next weekend. We started in September. My 7th and 8th grade Buffalo Public School Technology Students have almost finished a complete restoration of a 18' 1920 OT HW CS. We are planning a launch, if anyone would like to join us let me know...micmeyer@yahoo.com I would like to bring some of the kids to the assembly, we will see how it goes. I would like to send out a special thanks to Lew's Canoes in East Aurora, NY for his help with the canvassing.

Thanks, yes we will be launching and paddling around the Black Rock Canal, which runs parallel with the Niagara River just 10 miles upstream of Niagara Falls. Parents and Student who helped will be there, along with other wooden boat folks. Here are some more action photos. Fun Fun...

Hi Mike-
Thanks for the support. The kids were really fired up after your presentation, they are pushing hard to get this thing done before the end of the school year. Will there be any "AV" equipment @ the assembly to pop a photo CD in and let it run on a loop with pix of the kids in action? Let me know. I would also like to thank Joe Mann for donating 2 seat, 3 thwarts and the seat bolts, we were able to work the seat into the boat...thanks again.
