Seat spacers & Stem bands

My 1940 OT Yankee has copper tubing for seat spacers and flat stamped metal stem bands with a raised area down the middle (may be copper as well).

I strongly suspect that prior owner (deceased) just got both items from the local hardware store, but is there any chance that either is original to the boat?

My guess is that those are not original. This is a common repair technique.
